Att. Elif Akdağ, LL.M.
Att. Elif Akdağ was born in 1996. In 2019, after graduating from Altınbaş University, she worked in various law offices, carried out the legal processes of domestic and foreign companies, determination and compensation cases of public service companies, civil and criminal cases related to electricity loss and leakage, employee and employer representation in all kinds of disputes arising from labor law; periodic consultancy to start-ups in their legal processes, general assembly, signature circulars and their notarization, initiation and management of proceedings in disputes arising from enforcement law, execution of objection and cancellation of objection and negative declaration cases, representation in voluntary and mandatory mediation processes.
Akdağ is a licensed attorney who also specialized in criminal law and has handled numerous cases, particularly those involving IT offenses.
Between 2020 and 2022, Akdağ took an active role in the Artificial Intelligence Working Group affiliated to the Istanbul Bar Association, Information Law Commission and wrote many explanatory publications on this subject.
Akdağ also pursued her academic career and completed her master's degree, combining her interest in IT law and medical law on the basis of biotechnology, and wrote her thesis on reproductive rights, assisted reproductive technologies and the legal status of the embryo in-vitro. In the meantime, she served as a scholar in two Tübitak 1001 projects examining compulsory vaccination practices and artificial uterus technology, and published in refereed congresses.
Akdağ is fluent in English.
Apart from her professional life, Akdağ volunteers as a legal advocate for various associations that provides free legal support to women and children, submits her essays to literary magazines and mentors university students in debate clubs.
