Att. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Meliha Sermin Paksoy

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Meliha Sermin Paksoy was born in 1985. She graduated from Bilkent University Faculty of Law with high honours in 2009, and subsequently completed her master's and doctorate studies at Ankara University Faculty of Law and Istanbul University Faculty of Law.

In 2023, she became an associate professor in the field of civil law. She lectured in English and Turkish at undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels in the fields of civil law, health law and unfair competition law at Yeditepe, Bilgi, Altınbaş, Cologne and Plovdiv Universities, and worked as a guest researcher at Max Planck Hamburg, Cologne Comparative Law Institutes and Fribourg University in Switzerland.

In 2010, Ms. Paksoy was admitted to the Istanbul Bar Association as an advocate and has also worked as an expert witness in various court cases. Paksoy has authored numerous books, book chapters and publications in the fields of civil law and health law, and has conducted two Tübitak 1001 research projects. As a graduate of Robert College, Ms. Paksoy is both fluent in English and German.

Paksoy has also held a mediation license since 2020.
