Promotion and Information in Health Tourism

No Promotion Without Authorization: Health facilities and intermediary organizations that are not authorized for international health tourism cannot conduct promotional or informational activities.

Promotion Requirements:

• Promotions in Turkish that aim to create demand within Turkey are not allowed. Promotions must be conducted in the target country's language or in English.

• Promotions should include up-to-date and detailed information about services and be published on websites.

• Unauthorized services, misleading or incorrect information, or content aimed at creating demand among Turkish citizens cannot be included in promotions.

• Health-related information must be provided by legally authorized and experienced healthcare professionals.

Patient Stories: Patient stories may be included in promotions, provided patient privacy and rights are respected, and documented consent is obtained from the patient.

Prohibited Procedures: Medical procedures that are banned or not permitted in Turkey cannot be included in promotions.
